Pam McCorkindale
About Pam
Born and raised in the beautiful and intensely creative Nelson region of New Zealand, Pam has travelled to and lived in various regions around the world. She studied at The Learning Connexion, Wellington and also completed a 2 year Fine Arts course at the highly regarded City Literary Institute in London. She continues to travel spending long periods on the Costa Brava, Spain where she lives and paints on one of the most inspiring coastlines in the world.
Her work to date has been eclectic in subject matter and style reflecting her changing environments and explorations, but often motivated by elements of intrigue or a strong sense of holding onto precious memories. These elements often reveal themselves in her work without her conscious permission. On other occassions she deliberately endeavours to tell a story or convey a sense place.
